Stockton University is named after a signer of the Declaration of Independence.  There is a giant mural of that Declaration right behind the Campus Center.    However, it is almost impossible to read its words, and those words are rarely discussed in class or at campus events.

“We hold these truths to be self-evident.   We are all created equal.  We are endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights.  That among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.   To secure these rights, we instituted governments, exercising their just powers with the consent of the governed”.

Help us apply those powerful words to the fix the problems that most affect us.   High tuition costs and student loans.  High taxes and electric bills that drive jobs and people out of New Jersey.  The freedom to honestly and openly express our opinions on important issues without being afraid of “offending” someone.
